Preparing your Sydney home for air conditioning installation helps the job run on time and avoids delays on the day. Before your installation, you should: ensure clear access to the roof hatch (move stored items), turn off any solar inverter if on the same circuit, leave a parking space near the outdoor unit location, and ensure someone is home for the full installation day (typically 8am–5pm). During installation, the team will: install the indoor unit in the roof space, run ductwork to each room, mount the outdoor condenser, connect refrigerant lines and electrical supply, commission and test the full system, and walk you through operation. This checklist covers everything to prepare for your Sydney AC installation.
Before Installation Day
Clear the roof access hatch — remove any stored items within 2 metres of the hatch
Leave a parking space near the outdoor unit location for the installation vehicle
Ensure someone 18+ is home for the full installation day (typically 8am–5pm)
If solar panels are installed, note the inverter location so the electrician can safely isolate it
Confirm outdoor unit location with installer (usually agreed at site inspection)
On Installation Day
8:00am: team arrives, unloads equipment, reviews duct layout plan with you
8am–midday: indoor unit and ductwork installed, diffusers fitted in ceiling, wall controller mounted
Midday–4pm: outdoor condenser installed, refrigerant lines connected, electrical connection made
4pm–5pm: full system test across all zones, handover walkthrough, warranty registration, cleanup
Our team cleans up all installation debris before leaving. You receive the warranty certificate and installation documentation by email the same evening.
